Develop Advanced Emotional
Intelligence Skills
Mastering EQ Level 2 builds on the foundation established in Mastering EQ Level 1, helping participants deepen their emotional intelligence through guided practice and real-world application.
While Level 1 introduces the four core EQ skills and foundational strategies, Level 2 helps participants sharpen those skills and apply them in more complex workplace situations.
Participants explore their emotional triggers, refine their responses under pressure, strengthen empathy, and learn how to navigate challenging conversations, repair relationships and gain control of the internal “stories” or self-talk that influence their reactions.
Through deeper reflection, discussion, and advanced skill practice, participants continue developing the habits that drive effective performance and relationships.
What Participants Learn
Mastering EQ Level 2 focuses on advanced practice and application of a cornerstone strategy within each of the four core EQ skills:
Self-Awareness
Sharpen awareness by identifying and exploring the emotions and triggers that negatively influence decisions and actions.
Self-Management
Identify and reframe negative self-talk and practice high-EQ responses to challenging situations.
Social Awareness
Develop stronger observational skills and practice stepping into another person’s shoes to build empathy.
Relationship Management
Apply EQ strategies to navigate conflict, address difficult conversations, and strengthen working relationships.

“Managing your own emotions and those of others is an ongoing process, and the year-long program really gives our employees time to practice new EQ strategies. The cohort approach has also made a big difference. Working in a small group over a year, they are able to share where things went well and where they didn’t, and help each other with strategies to try.”
